Lateral thinking for speedo fix

I recently got a fine Rover 45 cheap because the speedo didn't work. Using this site i tried all the fixes,e.g. sensor swap, broken ABS rings, orange wires on the radio etc etc. Nothing worked. So i got a head up speed indicator. Solved the "what speed am i doing" issue for about 75 and i guess to within a couple of mph of the real thing (since its satellite). It flew through its MOT. Apparently they don't test the real speedo and no comment about the small reflective oval on the lower...

Rover 25 Automatic Gearbox

Help! Locked out of my Rover in France.

I bought my Rover 45, 2005, as a quick replacement to make the ferry when my MGF failed MOT at the last minute. I have no manual. The car is a bit of a mystery to me.

The three button fob I have has two buttons working (boot unlock and door lock) but the unlock does not work! When pushing the "unlock doors" the light comes on inside the car but the locks do not pop up. (I think it does it just to **** you off more)

I took the precaution of having breakdown...

Hit 36,000 miles yesterday since i rebuild the engine from the crank up, installing new valves along the way

Very strong engine to this day and as of thursday , the engine will be recieving a performance and colour coded rebuild
