Hi all

Any recommendations for mgtf insurance as a second car, two drivers almost 50 and 51!!!
Minimal use maybe 5-8000 miles max annually and possibly winterised too

Insurance costs are governed by the individual's circumstances so try Chris Knott on the Forum or search on the online comparative sites. Good luck

If you already have a car insured try asking that company. You may be surprised by some of the deals that are on offer if you insure a second car through the same insurance company.

Whatever insurance you go with, if you have a bump they will want to write your car off even if it has a little fixable bump.
Repair cost has to be less than 60% of the cars value for an insurer to agree a repair.

Get the very cheapest you can.
Churchill will do f/comp 160 for 5000 miles full no claims and age 50ish. in a south west busy town.

When people have hit me on more than a few occasions, I do not bother claiming now for the TF. I just fix it, depending on the damage.

Because I run a few cars my insurance would go up on all of them, even if I am not at fault.

If you restrict your mileage to less than 5k per year then consider classic policy - try Peter Best.
