Those are bold claims indeed on the website. I just hope that they can back them up with a dyno curve.
Cant help feeling that whilst planning for power is one thing, actually making it is quite another.

I have some more info actually....

It hasn't been built yet, but they think it should able to get those figures.

As i understand it, a custom exhaust manifold and big turbo will be used at the very least.

- i should not laugh, but i could just not help myself....

Joking aside, i am curious on how it is coming along - i would have thought being motorsport orientated it would have been done by now.... or at least in the shake down phase

in essence, it shouldn't be tooooo hard to get the L Series to 200bhp, if we're talking track car.

big turbo and intercooler should essentially be all you need. Driveability would be awful but if its on the track who cares?

You make it sound like it has to be a jet engine turbine :P

It doesn't have to be that big, it just needs to have a sufficient flow rate and have the right supporting mods

|Not saying it'l be easy, but it'l be easier with the turbo upgrade

Well we are getting closer to completion but we are not just building a race car but also complete kits for, if i mentionted we are testing gtb1756vk turbo from a 2.7tdi and also a kkk bv50 from a 3.0tdi and making stainless manifolds and downpipes including oil feeds/returns and developing the mapping so there will be off the shelf kits for different power levels would you guys understand the reason its taking onger than expected.

We are hoping for 230bhp and 350ftlbs with the gtb1756vk and well the figures for the bv50 turbo will be for heavily modified pump and injectors along with forged internals and a huge fmic and 2.4bar of boost for hopefully 300bhp and over 400ftlbs. the car will be done in due course but with a lot of attention surrounding the outcome we want a quality product with a reliable setup, the car needs to be able to compete in 24hr racing so we need to make sure it spot on.

the option for a gtb22060vk kit was in the pipeline but due to it being hard to get enough supply cheap enough for customers we opted for the gtb1756vk and bv50 which are far easier to get hold of and rated at 240bhp max and 310bhp max.
