hi can anyone help please, the battery was flat on my mg zt cdti so a friend jumped it off his van and left it running after about 10 mins the engine started reving really hard and thick smoke poored from the exhaust and it would nt stop with the key he eventually stopped it by disconnecting something i dont know what though. the car has 110.000 on the clock i hav nt had the car long so dont know when it was serviced but the oil is really thick .could something be blocked ? or is it more serious. we hav,nt tried starting it since . have you any thoughts on the cause of this .its year is 2004.thanks john
It has different levels of severity, i've had one go and it just casually flicked the idle. But they can be a peice of work when they let go! (goodbye engine if you don't shut it down!)
