Hi Guys I'm Jamie. MG TF Coolant Question.

Hi Guys,

Just joined your site. I have a lovely 2004 MG TF in Solar Red. 'Ruby' is her name!! Anyway, I have just put some SS coolant pipes on her and have bled the radiator bleed point but then have gone to do the bleed nipple to the heater matrix and nothing is coming out!! I have took her for a spin and got up to temp and everything seems fine, no air locks etc and have hot air coming from the heater so cant figure out why. I presume you have to do them in order? Radiator then heater matrix then the rear pipe?

Any help would be much appreciate.

Thanks

Jamie

Hi Jamie...I tried to post a link but it was having none of it. Just Google 'how to bleed a mg tf coolant system' and you'll get several really good step by step guides with pictures.

Cheers
Glenn.

Hi and welcome to the forum

Personally I start at the lowest point (the engine), then the rad and finally the matrix, I go round several times. There is lots of info here.

James

Cheers guys, both the matrix nipple and the one above the gearbox were blocked. 13 years of cr*p!! All sorted now though. Thanks
