what model is it......?

im looking at purchasing one so asking questions myself

but your dads problem could be the water pump if its the 1.8 petrol as its the same engine as mgf

when the engine goes cold things contract thus the leak....can you source roughly where its coming from?

see this thread if water is leaking from the same area (again its same engine if petrol 1.8)

Is My Water Pump Leaking

if its a diesel or not from same area ignore everything ive just said...just trying to help lol

Err, the "injection thingy" is the inlet manifold.

It's gasket is known to perish which results in external coolant leaks and internal leaks into cylinders 1 and 4.

The manifold gasket was changed in production because of it's tendency to leak, the older type gasket was black, the modified type is green.

It's hard to know which type is fitted to yours although I have seen the modified type leaking!

This thread covers the gasket replacement....

How do I - change Inlet manifold gasket? (K Series)
