    Hi Rob,
    Rich McKie here from Canada.
I saw in the last issue of MG Experience that you know of a simple way to convert front MGF Hydragas spheres for use as rears. I have a leaking rear sphere and happen to have a new pair of fronts on hand. Is it as simple as swapping the cones over? Would you be able to let me know how to do the conversion or a link to the source?
Any help would be appreciated as there are no spare rears in Canada!
    Thanks very much,
    Rich

    Hi Rob,

I thought I'll pop you a massage as I'm also looking into the possibility of a reasonably priced 'bolt on' turbo conversion.

As we both know the real issue with such a conversion is getting a manifold and downpipe to fit without interfering with the firewall, water pipes and alternator.

AMW motorsport are able to produce a manifold and downpipe for about £1000 however this mounts the turbo above the alternator with the air inlet pointing at the drivers side vent and the outlet pointing at the firewall which isn't ideal.

So hopefully you don't mind me asking, how far have you got with a design?
I see there's a "CAD" design of the original BBR manifold was made as well as a copy manifold.
I know this was designed to fit a modified T25, so I guess the questions is do you or anyone know if the standard 75/ZT GT20 would fit this design too? My guess is the waste may need fettling at the very least.

So if you looking to do group buy please let me know.

    Andy
