Once in the car and turning ignition key to start it, an internal dashboard alarm sounds & car fails to start. The only way I know around this is to turn ign. key back to 0 position, lock the doors with keyfob, then press unlock, turn ign. key back on and car will start. If the car stalls, it will restart in the normal way if attempted within 30 or so secs, otherwise this whole rigmorale has to be repeated [/U][/B]

Not sure what the problem is - even bought a new £51 car battery - at least the internal clock tells the right time now, but didn't solve this matter.

hey, quick questions here. Can Torque PRO + Bluetooth Scanner get error codes from MG Rover cars? i mean 25/45/75, ZR/ZS/ZT. not the old models.

is it possible to fry a R75 ECU by just reading it with a universal scanner?

not sure if you can help. I saw in a previous post of yours that you have built and supplied 5AS unit bench test rig. A simple version. I am looking for something similar.

I have an MG TF 2003 which came with one key fob and no EKA code. I invested in a T300+ sold by a fellow .org member to program up another fob and extract the EKA code. I thought it would be useful for diagnostics in the future and help other F and TF owners up here in the north. I would prefer to practice on a bench test rig of some sort. I have seen a cheap ECU/Alarm unit for sale and thought it would be ideal to play around with using the T300. Would it be possible to get a simple test rig for it or get the details of how to make one.

hi paul here is a update to my problem. I did what you suggested and fitted the maplin capacitor to the plug wiring and the problem is still there, so I fitted a additional one on the front wiper wiring itself still have the problem. so to summarise, two capacitors fitted and the mg suppressor fix still in situ , the problem still has not been fixed can you suggest anything else? by the way, i also checked boot hinge wiring loom which is fine and alarm, fogs , heated window, central locking , aircon , fobs etc are all working fine .kind regards Steve stoke on Trent.

Hi Technozen. My 53plate TF 135 horn has recently stopped working. It also does not sound when the alarm is activated. From what I have read on the forum it may be a faulty SCU Relay ?
