when you put your T300 on the IMO CABLE, or turn the switch in IMO MODE, i know that original MEMS pin 7 is replaced by either pin 1 or 3, these being the ones for 5AS. so, with a multimeter, could you please, very please, test your cable and check if it is 1st pin or 3rd pin connected on pin number 7?
i can't buy the cable from Technozen because my scanner (CDP+) has a different connector, and the info about making my own cable is conflicting.
    thank you very much.

do you still have the T300+? Where did you get it? I want to buy one of these in order to diagnose my Rover 200, 1999, 1.4 K-Series Petrol.
    Do you recommend it?

Depends on the sensor ! If it's the Crank or the Cam sensor then it MAY not want to start, but I doubt if the Coolant Temp Sensor would make a difference !

All rite mate do you know if a rover 25 1.4 2000 reg runs the system that if a sensor is disconnected it won't start? Because I know a golf of the same year does.
