Alarm problem

Hi there. I have a 2004 Rover25 and the alarm is constantly on. Well I say that... we managed to stop the alarm but there is now a constant 'clicking'? I think it is because the battery went low as we have not used the car recently. Can anyone tell me how I can stop this 'clicking' please. I just don't know how to stop it!! Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks x

This sound is the Battery back-up system which sounds when engine battery is of low output. You need to recharge your battery.

If the battery charge is very low the problem might continue.

A discharged battery must be charged for at least 24 hours if you want to fully charge it.
If you charge it off the car the problem might have gone away when re-connected.

The system often re-sets itself.
