MG to launch in India in 2019

Could take over GMs plant or establish its own factory.
MG brand to enter India, will rollout the first model by 2019

It should have gone there in the first place under Indian ownership. It worked for Royal Enfield.

If only Tata had bought MGR... (but that's another matter).

I'd guess that UK-market MGs will be Indian-built from 2019 then.

Very possibly...all depends on the trade deals that the UK has in place then.

Didn't Royal Enfield end up going to the wall and its Indian licencee just manufacturing in India. Not really what we want to see happen with British manufacturers, though I'm pleased to see Royal Enfield continuing in some form.

Well seeing how the City Rover ended up being the best selling car of all time along with winning the most car awards in the history of British Automotive history......
