The MG ZS SUV been previewed on a video with English subtitles:

Release date in China in 3rd March.

It is confirmed in the video that the test car is a pre-production mule.

It looks uglier than the Ecosport from Ford. Those wheels are like the ones you get on rollerblades.

Mokka has 18" wheels

Given that the Vauxhall Mokka is slightly smaller in size and comes with 18 inch wheels it would seem silly for MG to only have smaller wheels on this car.

I am not sure if these are meant to be 16" or 17" from the picture.

Cheers..

They should be forced to both take that MG badge of it, that is NO MG I`d want on my drive, and, they should be forced to change its bloody name!

That "thing" shares nothing my beautiful ZS!

Cool find and share, thanks, even if it did leave a bad taste in my mouth.

MG Motor UK have stated that when we get the car it is going to be called something other than ZS:

While the car will go on sale in China as the ZS and only reach UK shores in 2019, MG's head of sales & marketing Matthew Cheyne said that the name will be changed in time for its UK launch. The car is also said to be powered by a 1.5-liter turbo engine, which could be producing the same 164 BHP and 184 lb-ft (249 Nm) of torque it does in the GS model.

I am not sure why the article above says a 2019 UK release considering that MG Motor UK say that the car will be released this year:

Compact SUV - MG Motor UK Ltd

MG's website says the small SUV is coming this year, so it should be launched this year for delivery in Jan 2018 at the latest although earlier would be better.

I don't think this car will be called the ZS when it is launched over here.

We need it as soon as possible as I can see this being a better seller than either the 6 or GS.

I fully intend for this to replace my 3.

The review seems pretty favourable and hints that MG are spending money on the little things to make them stand out compared to rivals. I'm still not taken on the looks but will reserve judgement until I see one on UK roads.
