Earth point under seat?

Looking for an earthing point under the passenger sear. I was wondering if i could use the point where the bolt goes through the seat base. The black metal bit?

Any other bits? Streetwise

Anything chunky and metal will do, but be careful not to put anything by the seatbelt pretensioners.

A spark by these may see you getting a pyrotechnic wedgie!

Yes one of the seat bolts will do, make sure you get a good connection to bare chasis.

I wouldnt worry to much about the pretenstioner as I am sure I read that they are posative trigger.

The ECU sends the signal and thats under the foam on the rear seat.

It will be fine to use the seat bolts just make sure you apply a little thread lock and take some of the paint off to make a good earth.

Yep, you can lift the trim up by the door and pull the carpet away to put wires down.
