So recently my zr has starting ticking now and then, if I give it some welly for a while then it seems to calm down, and other times I can start it and its still fine. But recently even if I start it from cold or hot it still gives a ticking sound, if I hold the clutch down it pretty much disappears though :/.
Ok so now the steering noise: if I go full lock it makes a werling noise, it feels like its hitting something and grinding aswell, complete full lock this is. Both ways. :/
And finally if I put my back windscreen wiper on, each time it wipes I can hear a click ( sounds like an indicator click ) very strange! :/
The last noise is my back box vibrating against the heatshield underneith, so it's time to rip that put I think.

The noise you here when you have full lock on both ways is normal, this is the PAS pump working a full capacity and you shouldn't worry about it, if you hear that, then it's doing its job!
Also have you check if your indicators are coming on when rear wiper is on? if they are it could be a ground fault, I know MG's have a bad reputation for the wiring loom in the tailgate "chafing" and arching through the metal. This could be your click?, I'd investigate round that area and maybe wrap some electrical tape around the wires if there is chafing to see if it goes away (I wrapped mine anyway, just to give it that bit of extra security)
Yeh it does, cool beans . Although still need to check my indicator isn't actually coming on and it is just the relay haha.
By the way, talking of bad earths, my horns have stopped working entirely! It was ever since I changed the earth terminal ( the part that connects to the battery / metal piece) I have heard that they have some bad earthing points on the car so I was thinking of unbolting the whole earth cable sanding down and cleaning all points.
Is there any better location for the points? I'm wondering if this is why my horn is t working.
Last but not least Im still not 100% on what the engine noise is. I'm thinking maybe it's the cams slapping slightly maybe?
