MG ZR TD: brake disc minimum thickness

Hi all,

Anyone knows what the minimum thickness is for the standard front brake discs for an MG ZR td + 2005 ?

I cannot find it on the net..

Thanks.

First site I've checked (EBC) list 19mm and 11mm as min thickness respectively.

Isn't that the minimum thickness after being machined rather than the minimum permitted operating thickness? (not that I have actually come across a garage machining the discs level when fitting new pads during my car ownership).

That is minimum operating thickness. It is usually stamped on the edge of new discs too (not that you can read it on an old disc of course!)

Having now checked, you're quite right - I had got 18mm in my head for some reason, which is what prompted my previous post.

Thanks a lot for the answers. I will try and check the remaining thickness because I have the feeling they are worn.. Will check probably this weekend.
