MGZR track day car

Friend of mine wants to get into doing trackdays, He's been gathering a few cars and has a stripped and coilover shod 1.4 pectron 2004 zr and dropped on a crashed(but running) 160 2001zr on lucas just how easy is the conversion of the 160 into the 1.4 car. Is it as straight forward as getting the ecu(160) with the immobiliser deleted fit the engine loom and use the body looms from the 1.4 car. I suggested that perhaps its best to do engine and body looms swaps although the security of the car isn't an issue. Any input would be helpful regarding the wiring side of things

Is the 160 a MK1 then? If so easiest way would probably be to get K Maps to remove the immobilization from the 160 ecu

You can have the immobiliser put into a "relearn" state so it will match up with the 1.4 system. Beats having to mess around with getting to the BCU to swap it over and means the immobiliser will still work

Take the engine loom from the 160 but I'd leave the body loom.
