damp equals ignition struggle.

check rotor arm* and distributor cap* for corrosive build up, that doesn't conduct electric current.

check spark plugs* for gap.

spray leads with water repellant.

if in doubt, just replace.

in the cap are four metal pick-ups, they are shiny metal, but will probably have a white crusted oxide coating, this needs to be scraped off, using small screwdriver. Check the central graphite/black pick up is spring loaded, just push it gently and it should return. Also inspect the cap for cracks.

The rotor arm on its outside edge, clean up with a few rubs of fine wet and dry paper, back to shiny brass.

if this allows the car to start.............. at the earliest opportunity replace.
