Rover 25 1.4 wont start

trying to get daughters car to start. no idea why it wont start. Does not seem to be firing!
my concern is her boyfriend tried to jump start and melted the jump leads.

i think there is a spark having looked at the near side but i dont have the tools with me to get the p.lugs out

where is the fuel pump?

any suggestions on what the problem could be? which fuses to check and where are they?

thanks 2006cdt.

I created comprehensive thread on fuses and it is a sticky in this section: Rover 200 & 25 / MG ZR / SW: Fuses, Relays, ECUs

Fuel pump is within the fuel tank, but it is tank out job to get to the fuel pump.

Make sure the fuel cut out switch hasn't clicked up, press it back
down, always worth a look.

this I don't have. Anyone on the forum have one that would be willing to pop to Mansfield for a coffee and test the car.

I've been told T4 will talk to the Rover 25, is this the same thing?

T4 was the dealer diagnostic machine and a lot of money.

A cheap generic OBD2 reader is small change on ebay for a basic one.
