Salvage Monogram ZR

Spectre ZR+ 105 repairable salvage on HBC, finishes Tuesday 14th Feb: HBC On Line Auctions

Looks to be only light damage to the front but the rest of the car looks a bit tatty. Might make a project for someone? Pics are poor quality, and doesn't show the colour well, but (before anyone starts) I have checked and it is definitely Spectre.

Edited 28 March 2017:- it sold for a single bid of just 20 (+ fees), which didn't meet its reserve. The winning bidder must have done a deal and it is currently being broken in a breakers yard in Edinburgh.

Well, it only got one bid (of 20) and was 'Reserve not met'.

Another damaged Mono on Copart - a Sunspot 105 this time with a new front bumper and bonnet (and probably radiator) and some front panel straightening needed: https://www.copart.co.uk/lot/2245669...edLot=22456697

A Biomorphic +105 on Copart - looks as though a pair of doors, rear bumper and a bit of work to the wheelarch and sill might see it right: https://www.copart.co.uk/#/lot/21119247.

.....and a Td in Orange Grove, also on Copart (looks as though a replacement rear H-frame and a bonnet may be all that is needed): https://www.copart.co.uk/#/lot/25801307.

The yellow one is the best one to me, too much more faffing with panel work
and paint on the others, the orange one looks like a can of worms, the only
problem is the paint work, seen a few questionable attempts at sprayers
attempting to match the monogram paints.

To be honest, the Mono paints are not really any more difficult to match than any other paint. Indeed, the supertallics like Orange Grove and Celestial are standard metallics anyway. Having recently had a go at part spraying a wing in Typhoon with a rattle can (and I am by no means an experienced paint sprayer), and have a very close colour match, I can only conclude that the so-called 'professional' paint sprayers who have difficulty getting a close match would struggle to match any type of auto paint!

I think you would have actually found the Sunspot one the most difficult to repair of all - the front panel behind the bumper is severely bowed and has been pushed back almost into the engine, taking the rad with it. I wouldn't have been surprised if the nearside inner wing wasn't distorted too. By contrast, both the Biomorphic and the Orange Grove look much more straightforward - apart from the sill and wheelarch of the Biomorphic, the rest of the damage looks as though it only requires 'nuts and bolts' replacement of panels (though looking at them again, it looks as though both will need a rear H frame).

Yes, very easy when there is clearly little or no front panel damage on that one

So the Orange Grove would definitely be a much easier repair

Well, the Orange Grove has been bought by someone on the Monogram Appreciation Group, and will be repaired. Fate of the Sunspot (sold in February) is, as yet, unknown.
