Tinted Windows on Trophy Blue ZR?? Opinions Please!

Hi, before you read this i am not a chav or boy racer lol,

I have a trophy blue MG ZR and i have someone who can professionally tint my windows for a really good price.

The question is, what do tinted windows look like on the MG ZR and would my car benefit/look better from tints?

Also, what grade of tint would look the best and would it be better to have all the windows done or just the rear 2?

thanks again wonderful forum!

Well, you can't tint the front windows legally, so I wouldn't bother with that.

3 door cars look ok with tints, 5 door cars don't look right, in my opinion anyway. Have you got the black vinyl bit just behind the front door? A dark tint to match that would look good, I think.

Tints are now completely finable by the police, front rear sides anything, if you have clear windows they have to be clear, mate of mine was fined tonight and had to remove them at the road side or have an advisory to inspection? £60 fine..

New laws!!

Also seat belts was usually a warning or £30:
Now it a straight 3 points and £60 fine

And there are a few others he mentioned...

Its only the front windows and windscreen that has to let 70% light through. Anything behind the B pillar, rear windows etc can be as dark as you want.

Oh and this is from the direct.gov page .........

'The rules on tinted windows don’t apply to the rear windscreen or the rear passenger windows'

Heres a quick link to direct.gov for further info

I had a chat with a couple of my mates who are traffic coppers today and wanted to see where i stand as im pondering whether to get rear tints for my is200.

Apparently the law still only applies to front windows and windscreen, and the information that is on the direct.gov website is the latest.
