Race battery came today really pleased with it and another 8KG off the ZR's weight. Was a bit worried as CCA is only 170amps but turns over no problem ....

Had a day off today to try get finished up only a few silly things now but other than getting the battery mounted and sorting the cables out its about ready for mapping, i will do the seat and plump in the bias valve etc later

Got the PRT fitted and put in a 90 degree hose to repair the heater pipe, also the uprated master cylinder in but i will need to get a different air filter due to the not much clearance now ....

And it looks like the end is almost in site just need to get the other wheels on so the slicks get a good clean up on the rollers go to see it back together tho, also got a quick run up the street and back to make sure it drives ....

nice progress
Is the race battery a redtop 25 as I am in the market for 1.
On a slight off topic
Have you looked in to utilising the emeralds launch control
Seems easy enough to program in just unsure how it works. I have done away with the abs system so looking to use the wiring to hook up to the ecu as this may help with the starts on sprint events I'm doing,

No mate odyssey pc680. I not looked into it to much but you can put wheel speed into the Emerald, you link the ABS sensor into the back of the ecu there's 2 D ports one is labeled coms its the other one you wire into then just tell it the wheel info, size etc

With the emerald you link the earths from the sensors and to a pin and the other wires to the corresponding pins in the comms plug I have this already with the map switch then program the ecu with the required info but unsure how the ecu goes about processing the info it receives in order to prevent wheel spin,

I don't see how it can do stop any wheel spin as it doesn't support drive by wire throttles nor does the K series use one. I guess the only way it could is by the same way the flat shift works and by reducing the timing. Do emerald say it can work traction control I must say didn't know it did thought was just launch control so it just limited the revs

Blyton park about 50mins from me and as a bonus the week after its also the first round of the sprint event I've entered into.
Bonus2 looking at the list of cars there is a mgzr190 trophy car attending so will have a chance to ask about suspension set ups. I guess he will be running on slicks if its dry. Did you fit front camber plates?

Finally a update guys just not been into it lately but had a bit of go today must have been the weather....

Getting it ready for the final push fir mapping....

Put the bigger master cylinder on but the bottle was to big so i had to strip it now and put on the original bottle on the new master cylinder....

Next job was to get the HEL brake lines on....

Followed by the Wilwood bias valve....

And the rear brake pipes just got to fit the P clips....

Got the running in oil out, run it back up with some cheap 10w40 semi engine to flush it through and in with the 5w40 ester motorsport oil. Oil pressure is 0.5 bar higher with the motorsport oil....

Also got the track wheels out in week to get all the dead rubber off ready for the mapping session....

why fit the slicks for the r/r I'd personally just use some road tyres rather than the expensive to replace ones
What was the main reason for the m/cylinder change does the bigger brake kit need the bigger cylinder??

Doesn't matter about the slicks now mate the series i want to enter only allows MSA 1A, 1B or 1C tyres so cant use them anyway.

Got the battery wiring done today.....

Terminals crimped....

Routed from battery to kill switch....

FIA kill switch and resistor in....

Also have a through panel connector where the cable runs through the bulk head but my cone cutter wasnt quite big enough....

Also put in the through panel connectors for the brake lines....

Just few little jobs to tidy up and be ready for some track action again.
