There is a bedford event in the middle of March I was eyeing up I think. I'll check when I get home from work

Will more than likely be in my daily 160 though

Good news filters came from today and they fit thank god. There only for time being as planning on getting a uprated pedal box so can run a Exige airbox or similar but ok for trackday this Saturday to test out the throttle bodies for real :o Its at Bedford Autodrome with Lotus/MG's on track so if your local come down should be a few nice cars there

Good luck with the track day.

Have you balanced the throttle bodies? It'll be interesting to hear how it's running with standard management, I'd imagine very lean.

Thats what i thought all tho believe it or not its a bit rich... lambda sensor switching at idle but when rev's at 2500 on sensor voltage is 0.8volts and have trouble code for running rich Runs ok just has slight flat spot at around 4000prm on light throttle. Still at least its slightly rich better that burning out valve's Fingers crossed will be running Motec ecu soon. Can you balance the VHPD bodies theses no balance screws on them

That is surprising that it's rich. Also odd there are no balance screws although I've not managed to tinker with any vhpd bodies in person. Are they in pairs, otherwise they probably have one control rod working all 4 so should be close enough without having to balance them. There should be some sort of idle adjustment though.

Yeah two half's the same but with slightly different linkage that just fit into each other. There's only a screw that opens the butterflies off there stops all tho each side has a vacuum hose linking each half together then another set that are link all four ports together via t-pieces. Will defo be running idle control once get the ECU sorted

The screw that opens the butterfly's will most likely be for your idle control, although it may also help balance them. You really need a flow tester to check them.

I'm sure we got some somewhere from when we used to do the SU carbs. I had to give screw a turn in order to open butterflies slightly so it would idle

Had a evening @ EPS Motorsport tonight to sort out the plans for ZR and get the fuel injectors flow tested and have filters changed. Couldnt believe it all injectors flowed perfect and at 5bar they make best spray pattern and 272cc so good for 244bhp or 210cc at 3bar So we are going with a Emerald K6 control unit with 3 different maps and looking into wideband O2 plus knock control and rolling road/mapping session start of April

Ok pulled the engine tonight, it needs belts doing, a new clutch and seems to have a fair oil leak now so going to replace said items plus all gaskets and seals and looking into "N" series HG, uprated bolts and oil rail.... as long as liner heights are ok of course
