Black roof vinyl

Hi guys I am considering doing a black vinyl roof wrap on my 400, a bit like this.

What do you guys think? Would someone be able to photo shop me a black roof on a night fire red 400 or if I upload a pic of mine later on?

Anyone on here do sign writing could give me an idea of cost?

Would it not be quicker and easier to just spray the roof black, rather than faffing about with vinyl? Or are you going for the option of being able to undo it again...

From what Ive been told it would be more expensive to have the roof sprayed, and exactly like you say if I dont like it or get bored of it I can always remove it.

Not entirely sure if Im gonna do it at all yet just one of my many ideas, saw a red vw polo on ebay a while back with a black roof and wheels and thought it looked nice.

Cant say Ive seen another Rover with it done, so I guess it would be different too.

Well, if you stick up a pic of your car where the roof is visible, it's a pretty easy photoshop job to give it a black roof if it helps you decide.

You can't remove it if you get bored. They are glued on!
The last one I saw done (when they were in fashion) was sprayed with textured paint. It had tape underneath to simulate the seams.

The guy Ive been speaking to at the sign writers place says they use 7 year vinyl, that is self adhesive and will peel of pretty easily up to around 3-4 years after fitting, which to be honest is probably longer than the life of my current 400?

If you can still buy Fablon then it won't have to be black.

Just checked you can !. 450mm wide x 15mtr long roll will set you back 32. Shiny Black - on Amazn.

Quicker easier cheaper and looks just as good as a spray job. Yes it will come off easily if you want to take it off. Ive put vinyl on my zs mk2 front lip spoiler no one has ever noticed its vinyl.
