I haven't a manual for the 45/ZS but the relay just by the engine management ECU looks like the glow plug relay on mine.

I hope there's someone who can confirm as I want to check mine next weekend.

I'd guess the same relay is used for the fan, except the fan one is mounted down in front of the Fans. Mine looks like a similar relay though I haven't had a good look.

Rimmers list that part number for the glow plug relay too from year 2000, though in the place where most relays are listed it also shows as a fan relay, and the glowplug relay is listed with another number.

In any case, we've had it confirmed the one by the engine ECU is the right one. so thanks for that.

so you could exchange them, just to check if you have a faulty relay?

It would appear so, though I haven't had a look to be sure. Too cold. Too dark....

The glow plug relay has much bigger contacts and current capacity than the other relays on the car in general.

I agree, except the fan relay appears to be the same, in having the same part number.

Check to see if the glow plugs are recieving power when the igntion is turned on (n.b. the light on the dash is not connected to the plugs at all).

If no voltage or low voltage then suspect the relay.
