Unhappy Have I balls it up....

Just replacing my cam timing wheels after replacing the water pump and general timing belt replacement etc - As I have been doing up the main bolts my cam wheel locking tool fell out and the cam has tured on both wheels....

I have moved the wheel back so trhe timing marks line up again -

Will this be ok to reassemble????

Many Thanks

Jon

You will be fine!
If the crank is in the Safe (timing) position, you can do what you like with the cams and not cause damage. You only need use the cam locking tool as an assembly aid when fitting the belt.

1955diesel - if you were here Id kiss you!!

I had a real feeling I'd ruined all my hard work.....one thing you might know - Haynes says the torque for the cam whells is M8 - Xnm, and M10 65nm...

How do I know which I have??

So grateful....

If you measure the thread of the bolts it will let you know which size you have.
