Garages
Presumably it's not the resistor pack that is at fault?

If its either the fan reisitor (only works on 3 and 4 speed) or the fan itself its easy to get at once you have removed the glovebox. You'll see it undre the dash when you look up.

If its the resistor pack, half hour job - just watch the resistor wires when lowering the new/replacement unit in, I mullered speed 1 by breaking the coils on the edge of the casing. Easily repaired though...

The fan motor is extremely easy to replace... disconnect the wiring loom, remove 3 screws and the motor assembly drops out

Wish I'd known that when I spent about 2 hours trying to remove the fan motor housing to get at the leaves, with an assortment of sockets, extensions and spanners.

Sorted - there was a giant twig caught in the fanblades stopping it going!! Took the opportunity to do 1&2 so now i have all four speeds for the first time!!
