MG ZS Heater Blower motor.

To the point. My heater only works on setting 3 and 4.
Is this the HEATER BLOWER RESISTOR that needs changing?
I have Air Con if that matters at all.
Cheers guys.

I had exactly the same problem. Check my previous post, it has a link to the one I bought off ebay with no problems.

Smile heater resisters

My son who having been in my 45 in the past, recently bought a 400 which had the heater only working on positions 3 and 4, he checked it out and bought some individual resisters of ebay for £4.68 and soldered them in and it works perfectly now

That number has been superseded to JGH10002.
We have lots in stock.

Any Xpart outlet will order you one.
I am surprised Rimmers don't have it on their shelf.
They are showing 63 in stock

Yes, the resistor has blown coils 1, 2, and 3 most likely

Silly me. Did not read your post properly.
As Technozen said, it sounds like your fan motor has / is about to seize.
If the fan is very tight the lower voltage supplied by the reistor coils will most probably not be enough to turn the motor.

Actually, mine did exactly the same.
I had to have a fan motor and resistor pack.

A seized fan motor will draw a much bigger operating current, if you fitted a new resistor pack to a seized motor then the chances are it has been destroyed.
