Power steering pipe leak on 400 diesel

One of the pipes is leaking power steering fluid all over the show.

The leak is at the back of the engine where the pipe coming from the master cylinder turns from the inner wing to go across the bulk-head.There is a join from thin metal tube to a rubber tube and it seems to be coming from this joint.

The MOT is up soon and I need to know if this is a fail and what I can do to fix it.The fluid needs topping up about once a week.Any help appreciated.

It should not fail the mot but sounds like a new pipe is your best bet. I had a leak on my petrol power steering near where the pipe joins at the pump. Just replaced the rover clip with a decent jubilee clip.

Thanks Bockers, there is a little bit of a wet patch at the outlet from the master cylinder/pump area.I did a search before posting and saw the jubilee clip fix so will get right into that A.M. tomorrow.

The worry for me is the wet patch at the back of the engine. At first I thought it was a burst r/h rubber gaiter on the steering rack. However the leak looks like it comes from the pipe just above the rack, the one that comes from the master cylinder, and is leaking all over the gaiter and all the mechanichy bits in that general area.
