Beware of additives. Use good oil, correct viscosity and follow or reduce the recommended intervals between changes is a far better and cost-effective way of ensuring longevity of your engine. I wouldn't put anything other than a reputable oil in my cars and change it often. It's the single most important thing you can do.
Petrol 1.4 45 that's done 195,000 miles with Castrol synthetic oil changed every 12000.
