Another 1.8T Hesitation under hard acceleration
Hi guys as per title my 1.8T hesitates just as the turbo is kicking in at 3000RPM upon flooring the accelerator mainly in 2nd but also in 3rd gear.
At first I thought it was the common misfire symptoms that everyone else has pointed to. I have checked the turbo pipes all seems fine and I dont think it is the coil packs or spark plugs etc. I wouldn't describe it as a misfire or any kind of electrical fault.
It is definitely more like a very strong hesitation causing the whiplash jerking that others speak of.
I have narrowed the problem down and find it only happens when I accelerate hard with 1/4 of a tank or less of petrol. So my question is do you guys think it is fuel related and do I need to get myself an orange clip on my filter as maybe this is the cause????
This problem ruins what otherwise is an excellent drive when working correctly.
Any help much appreciated
