Just had good service from Gavin Fairley of http://www.mgroverrepair.co.uk/ situated nr Coventry. Looked after my 75 very well and seems to know these cars inside out. Car was ready in less that 4 hours and it needed a fair bit of work doing to it.

Hello to everyone.

Couple days ago I placed an order on www.BuyPartsBy.co.uk webshop for coil springs and some other parts for my wife's Rover 75. And now I'm waiting, when they calculate delivery cost to Estonia. My order is registered and I have Order No. Now, 2 days later, I haven't received any information about delivery cost and can't pay for parts. Let's say, I am a bit disappointed with their service. But I hope, they wake up soon. :-)

By the way. Is the BuyPartsBy still in business? At least the webshop seems to be working.

Wow! I wish I had seen this thread a while ago it would have saved me an extra 250! Steve from British Legends sorted my HG out for me in July and they have done a brill job, car is great 8 weeks on and no leaks! Unfortunately for me I had a mobile mechanic called James from 'Mobile Gasket Repair' contact me before I had heard of Steve and fit a faulty shim & gasket to my car with no warranty or guarantee given, it was promised but I was given no paper work to show I had even paid the guy after it was done let alone for the warranty. Of course 8 weeks down the line I was back to square one and my coolant was dropping so low I had to start topping it up every 5 days, and James told me 'not to panic' and did not turn up to carry out warranty work. This took 8-12 more weeks of constant ignored e-mails and texts until I turned to British Legends to fix my car for me instead. I can 100% recommend Steve from British Legends to anyone who is in Essex or London or anywhere in the South East, courtesy car was given to me as well which was brill. And best of all - I have the paper work and warranty stickers this time!

I will never ever be using James service again and I am out of pocket now of 250 which I will have to fight for if I want to see that back.

Bellfields in Guildford, Surrey

I recommend "Bellfields Auto Services since 1965" in Guildford, Surrey.

http://www.bellfieldsautos.co.uk/

These guys have worked on my two Rovers (CDT and KV6) for several years. They can even collect, deliver, clean the car - or offer complimentary coffee while you wait.

Yate Garages in Yate

Yate Garages
Units 4 & 5, Brunel Court, Dean Rd, Yate, South Gloucestershire BS37 5PD
Phone:01454 323804

Info: Steve and the team run a small garage in Yate near Bristol.
I have been a customer of his for many years now and he has always been able to fix and advise on many of my cars and also given a very reasonable rate!
Starting with a 2.4 Diesel Fiat clutch and cambelt he has done work on many of my (and my families) vehicles including a Ford Transit, 2x Citroen Picasso's, a Vauxhall Corsa, and lately my MG ZT-T with a new wishbone and all bushes for 150!
Always reliable and willing to help, that's my recommendation for the South West England section.

Don't know if this list still being added to. I would recommend CS motors, unit 30 bromag ind estate, Minster Lovell, witney OX29 0SR. Mark just did my mot for MG-ZTT, very sensible, applied a bit of commonsense and Waxoyl and saved me a packet!

I'd love to get my garage..... Summit Garage (Dudley) Ltd, 413-415 Himley Road, Lower Gornal, Dudley, DY3 2RA Tel: 01384 259555 onto this list. We are MG franchised dealers and MG Rover specialists. We are a third generation family business and run by myself and my brother Nick Newey. 2015 is our 70th anniversary year, so if anyone likes us, please say!!

Is it possible to remove this garage that I recommended in Dundee some time ago from the list?

Annfield Road Motors, Grove Mill, Lower Pleasance, Dundee, DD1 5QU
Tel: 01382 223511
E-mail: annfieldroadmotors@btconnect.com
Info: The guys at this garage are friendly & very reasonable. Had both my cars serviced here with a high standard of workmanship. Also had my KV6 inlet manifold changed here & couldn't believe the charge. Excellent all round. (Recommended by forum member 'Newbie ZT')

I have not used this garage in some time and the last job that was done on my car was substandard and frankly, I didn't like the attitude of the gent working on my car.

I have been using this chap for over two years now with very good results:

VC Motors
6-7,
Annfield Row,
Dundee,
Angus,
DD1 5JH
(01382) 643238

For servicing I have been using Dreadnought in Callander but am about to try this chap in Tayport, Dundee. I will let you know how I get on.

http://www.astraeusmgrover.com

Chap is from 75and ZT club forum so should be kosher!

Hi I have a nice looking MG ZT diesel once it has started it drives really nice but it is so so hard to start when it's warmed up I think it could be the cam sensor that has gone or is it something else ?
it also cuts out when the rev's drop in slow moving traffic in any gear what could that be ? Oh the boot light has power but doesn't come on there is power going to it I can't see a trigger switch can anyone help please
