Regular Car Reviews: Rover 75

Just thought it would be interesting to show everyone an American's perspective of the 75:

Interesting (and refreshing!) to hear an appraisal of a Rover from someone approching it without pre-concieved ideas, and who gives an objective, entertaining and unbiased commentary. Did make me titter though, when having described it as being mainly BMW under the skin, he opened the bonnet to reveal it to be the least 'BMW' version of the 75

Very different from the the type of overview we normally see - usually done simply so the presenter/writer can regurgitate the usual rubbishing of Rover just for the sake of it.

Thanks for posting it.

Interesting also, to note that he bought it from "a dealer in Bristol" where it had sat unsold for several years - clearly Hursley Hill/SMG; often harangued on these forums for the grossly overhigh windscreen sticker prices, but who happily accepted what the current owner considered a cheeky low offer - just shows the price on the windscreen isn't always the full story .

They're great because, unlike many others, they review "boring" cars, everyday cars. But they do it in such a clever way that they can make the most mundane car seem fascinating.
