Rover 75 Driveshaft

Had a rather unpleasant suprise yesterday when i lost complete drive on my Rover 75 Tourer. Thinking the worst i had the car recovered to a friends garage (Thanks for the 2 and half hour wait Green Flag, it was really appreciated)

Anyway upon inspection it appears the N/S driveshaft has snapped right where the circlip that holds the shaft into the outer CV joint. Is this a common problem on these models?

No. this is not a common problem. Very rare for a driveshaft to sheer on any model..

Garages
Well at least it is an easily replaced part. Yeah you'd better tame that drive-in art snapping driving.
