Car: 75 v8, tourer 2.5 auto, 1.8T auto, 90, 105S, 105R, 110, p5BCoupe, P6B, Van den Plas, Range Rover
There is a bolt further up, that needs to be removed first.
As for removing the O-ring connector, it is, (as far as I remember):
1. push the connector and the stick housing down,
2. then pull on the housing while keeping downward pressure on the connector.
Make sure you clean all areas well first. There could be a lot of oily sand there. You don't want that into the sump.
