You can put resistor, but this is not safty, bcu have pins to connect drivers and passanger side anti trap. There are rhd and lhd anti traps, you can mount both but dont forget, you can loose your fingers buahaha

About dde and ews, yes Brian have right, when you try to synchronize working ecu it will brick it,, but for now we already found where the problem is. And update will be done today or tomorrow.

If some body bricked ecu this way. Dont be scared you can use INPA to resynchronize (tested) or wait for updated version of toaf. Brian you try to harm this project, but you helped us to be better. Thank you very much

Interested to know more about which bcu pins need to be modded for one touch up..Can you give more details? ,, And have you found the problem to correct the mirror dipping when selecting reverse gear?..

Read a long time ago about the dipping mirror feature on BMW's been problematic but what people hadn't realised is that the mirror had to be selected on the door card switches as well.
You know that left and right button.??????

For anyone who bought a 3 quid VAGCOM KKL as I did, I didn't put a big blob of solder on mine but cut a piece of insulated wire about an inch long and bared and tinned the ends so that I could easily reverse it or put a switch on in the future if I wished.

Here you have Got BCU pinout, connector C0660 with 54 pins

Pins 3 and 4 anti traps for back Windows

Pins 20-21 anti traps for front windows

Best way is to install anti traps or have one and check resistance, maybe is just connected to ground . I have to check this way

yes i have a spare. but i will check for resistance.., but i suspect Linking pins 3,4,21 to pin 20 will work. using the resistance of the drivers sensor for all 3 passenger windows..

Lol.. just measured the resistance of a spare trap sensor. measures 3kohms.. and obviously a direct short when pressed..
so either fir a 3k resistor between pins 3.4.21 to earth. or no resistor and link pins 3.4.21 to the drivers door trap sensor..

edited due to incorrect pins info..now correct

You have mistake In pins not 2,3,20,21 but 3,4,20,21.

when you put the car into reverse, the passenger mirror folds down a bit for reversing.. you have it in TOAF but doesnt work..

will try to get a screen shot,, but its a coding option in the SMAC MODULE.. and as i have electric seats it should work.. but maybe a communication issue between the bcu and smac ?

You have spoken with Marek. SMAC module is the same as used in BMW e46 Or e39 for example. But in BMW is used more Advanced BCU. Marcin do all SMAC Option Visible but this will not work with our truncated BCU. Sorry.

Check BCU numbers in his car, this may help.. Check also smac module number.

For example in BCU is option to open boot using remote, but works only on specific numbers bcu 1521 and 1522. Maybe here is the same

might not be able to check his bcu etc. as the car is in storage.. but my car has the mk2 bcu fitted and has the remote boot release option. I will check my bcu number tomorrow..
