17 inch wheels

My new (to me) MG TF came with 17 inch wheels which is a problem to me as I intend to import the car into Spain and the required engineers report will no doubt pick up on the fact that the wheels are non standard. I am surprised that all discussion is about 15 or 16 inch wheels so is my set up unusual and would they shod with good tyres be of any value out there? As I am planning a road trip back to the UK their current location in Spain should not be such a problem.

I am sure that 17" wheels were an option for the TF, can you post a picture of them so someone can confirm this.

That's interesting, I never thought that they might have been an option. As for posting a picture I am struggling to see how I do this on this forum

Only 15" and 16" were available on the F/TF.
17" is an aftermarket purchase and even then only a few are available to fit the car due to its somewhat old-fashioned non-standard, by modern standards, bolt pcd.
Which model car do you have as some, ie TF 160 have larger front brakes and need specific 16" wheels.

OK. 15" will fit and are the original wheels for the car, ie 5-Square spoke alloys, unless it is a special edition model or has had fitted TF 160 4-pot Red Racing front brake calipers then it will need 16" TF 11-spoke alloys.

Hi Navsail, do I know you? we have a F-TF club here in Barcelona, and also another one in Madrid. If you need whatever, just send a priv message or add me in facebook (Ricky CJ). I'm pretty sure we will be helpful.
