If they are anything like the speakers that were factory fitted to the 200/25/ZR and 400/45/ZS, the standard speakers are actually pretty decent. The quality of the head unit seems to have a greater impact than the speakers, and to get any significant improvement from fitting different speakers, I think you would have to spend a fairly serious amount of money.

A lot of people have found that most of the less expensive aftermarket speakers are actually inferior - I've just taken a set of Sony speakers out of a recently acquired ZR and replaced them with standard Rover ones from a breaker for this reason.

I upgraded the front speakers in the wifes car purely because the old standard one were falling apart.

Nothing fantastic, just some 20 ones from our local car accessories/tool shop.

Left the rear ones alone.

Have a Sony mechless media player fitted for Bluetooth streaming and have the fader set a little towards the front and the sound is excellent.

On a slight side note to this, I found the owner/user manual for the original MG CD43 in my owners wallet thingy Today - I've searched online myself for a manual for the CD43 without to much success and all along it was just sat there.....if anybody wants a copy, I'm quite happy to scan it and upload it for anyone who might need a copy.

Oh, and I think I'll stick with the factory speakers. Although I can't recall seeing any markings on them, perhaps they are also Blaupunkt speakers to match the OEM head unit. They sound pretty good actually, I just thought better might have been possible, however, I'm more than happy with how it is now and that money could go towards something else for by beloved F.

Just a quick search provided 20 for new one. I cannot remember how much I paid for my new one. However I am sure it can be obtained for less money than that.
