Did you fit a new IACV (idle air control valve)?

Otherwise, assuming an early MPI model, distributor cap, leads, rotor arm etc.

When does it cut out and is there a pattern to when it happens?

If its cutting out as you approach junctions etc then I would look at the Idle Control Valve. If its while you are just driving along then it could be the crank sensor.
