He's actually going to bring it down to me.
If I like it we'll do the deal. If not, I'll give him a bung for the time effort and mileage.
However, it was agreed that he needed to be honest on the description etc prior to coming down. He appeared very honest. It's very difficult for me to get there atm what with work and time constraints etc.

I have a feeling all will be ok. He emailed me some better pics earlier as well, inc some close up's.

Nothing is making me twitchy at this time...

Cheers buddy,

I hope so as well.
It's looking kinda 90% I'll take it.
Will be nice to join the TF club - always kinda liked these cars tbh.

good question, but not one often adhered to... just because you see it dont mean its good..

neither does what many others think... since bias is one way only.. thats why its biased.

in effect, it dont really matter what others think... even me now.

you buy what you want... its your decision not any one elses...

and if it is? your a slave...

you chose to have an MX5, why? because everyone one who owned an MGF told you so?

Thanks - I get your points.

Yes, Ultimately I'll buy what I want. However, I'm new to the TF's, so good to join here and get opinions. I'll be sticking around for future advice / chats about these as well.

People can be odd. You may get mx owners who will diss the MG's for the sake of it and vice versa.
Truth is, they are both great cars, but a little different - they both have their up's & downs, neither are perfect.

What we should do is appreciate and accept the fact that we all like the same thing. A rag top 2 seater revvy roadster!.....

Update,

The seller using his mechanic carried out a pre sale check and apparently it has a HG issue.
He's getting it repaired and has temporarily removed it from sale.

He's going to keep in touch we me re progress.

Sadly, the photo is no longer available so I haven't seen the car, but if he keeps the same price then look on the HG as an added bonus. Assuming it's done correctly with the right gasket, it should be OK for the forseeable.
Another reason to buy then!
Oh, and welcome to the 'Club'

Me thinks that might be a tad harsh...

Just because you had a bad one, it doesn't follow that they are all the same. You certainly get good, bad and very bad MGF and TF's too. It all comes down to how they have been looked after.
