live feed

I wish to fit another Horn/Siren onto my F.This is in addition to the standard horns.So where would be the best place to take a live feed from.????That works when the ignition is on.

Just run it in parallel with the horn circuit.

You'll have the same voltage and the circuit will simply drain double the amperage on the line because 2x horns.

If you want to run it on a separated switch simply fit a suitable fuse and run if off the battery or the nearest terminal on the front fuse box fitted to a simply push switch.

There are plenty of gaskets in the front bay if you want to run a switch into the cabin.

sorry I should have said i want to run this independently from the original horns.

any idea which under bonnet fuse i could use ??

You can just run a line from one of the open terminals if you want (the big copper ones). Or the final terminal and the earth connection.

Just fit a secondary fuse and it'll be fine.

Same principle as if you were hooking up a car amp.
