MGF Bonnet Stuck - How do I release?

Needed to get into teh bonnet today, however no matter how hard I treid to pull the bonnet lever at the back, the front wouldn't pop up!

Any clues on how to release or access another way?

Without giving away too many security secrets, have a look at this recent thread

Or you could get someone else to push on the bonnet as you pull the lever,
this works sometimes.

It seems to me this is a problem waiting to happen for all of us. A cunning alternative way of opening, with a hidden, but accessible cable or lever would be a damn good thing. If it was simple to operate, we'd probably all use it instead of the normal rigmarole. Along with some way of locking the spare wheel and battery in position, there would be very little loss of security.
