MGTF Roof Frame and Rear Window

Hi,

I recently replaced my roof after getting it slashed by someone trying to steal my car.

Is there any value in:
1. an MGTF rood frame (badly damaged fabric - so unusable)
2. An almost new, plastic rear window (That would need to be cut out of the current fabric)

I'd prefer to sell it, or even give it to someone, rather than skip it.

I had a look on ebay, but I don't see roof frames, and all the rear windows seem to be new, and therefore not just cut out of the roof fabric.

Thanks

Richard

Someone will buy it, I've got one here I bought a while ago as I've a complete hood (but no frame) which I intend putting onto the frame eventually

Is the window one which is zipped at the top, if it is, you could get between 30 - 50 for it

Hi Dert,

Thanks for the info.

The window has the zip all the way around. Starting from the side, going round to the other side.
I might just put it on Ebay then. Or if anyone wants it (for postage) they can have it.

As for the frame. I think I will just give it to someone who needs it.
But I need to make the decision by Saturday evening.

Thanks
Richard

Hi Richard, if you can unzip the rear window I will pay the postage with pleasure.

Please PM me the price and your PayPal details and I will send you over the money.

I can say that I had to buy a second hand frame recently because the new on I had bought from Rimmers was missing a load of bits. Then again you might have had to use these with your new frame.

Best to separate the rear window from the old damaged hood fabric.
If you look along the bottom rear edge you will see that it is held in with a row of pop rivets and a steel band. This is under the foam seal strip if it there.
Best way to remove the rivets is with an old wood chisel and a sharp blow with a hammer to chop their heads off!
Unzip the rest and can then be sold on ebay.
