oil leak coolant leak and mis-fire - great!

Whilst doing some work on the car have noticed that aside from my minor coolant leak which I can't seem to find the issue with.. I've now got a minor oil leak as well and the engine is mis-firing...

lovely... any ideas as likely?

James

The average K-series engine will have countless joints, seals, o-rings, and gaskets so as Chris says a little more info would be helpfull!!..

Its like a mate of mine who rang me to ask if I could have a look at his Washing Machine as it was leaking!......... When I asked him had he any idea where from?, he said "Oh Yes!!,... its leaking from the bottom"...

well i can help with the missfireing?
could be spark plugs or leads check those even the rotor arm and dizzy cap.

Plus make sure there is no excess oil, petrol in the spark chambers as this will make it miss fire as well.
Iv'e s this before when a m8t was filling his car with oil and tipped some down the spark chamber.

Dan

Where is the coolent leaking from??
And how do you know te oil is leaking???

ok had it up on the ramps yesterday and fixed a few things.

oil "leak" was partly from me missing the oil filler a few days ago when re-filling.. but it is still losing a little and I think I know where from... but not massive so going to do that in a few days.

Coolant was from a hose clip not being tightened up correctly so was leaking slightly... tighented and all appears well...

Still mis-firing so next weekend I'm taking the covers off and am checking the leads etc as the car has done high mileage and I don't think those have been changed gonna order some new leads, plugs, dizzy cap and rotor just to be safe.

Sound about the right thing to do?

James

Aye it is the right thing to do. But if you can, do it sooner as a misfire can damage the cat very quickly.
