Today I observed what I'm pretty sure is an electrical problem in my MK1 F. Since I fitted scoops I've noticed the oil temp is slightly lower on long runs (not a bad thing I guess). By today I noticed it was around 60-70 deg C! What's more it was fluctuating - in fact by a process of elimination I realised that the higher the engine revs the lower the temp needle goes! With the engine idling the needle shows the actual temp (just under 120).
I'm guessing it's probably a connection problem to the oil temp sensor, of failing that a ground issue??
Has anyone seen this before?
Note: water temp was perfect, engine runs fine, all levels good.
Cheers
Christopher
