Parking Sensors

I may be getting my car resprayed sometime soonish, and was thinking of fitting parking sensors before the respray. I know a few people have fitted them, has anyone ever used this kit? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

It seems really cheap compared to others, but I don't want to buy it and find out (as I so often do) cheap means rubbish. I'm fed up of paying for things twice rather than buying something decent once - but at the same time don't wanna pay over the odds for something if cheap is good value.

95 for fitting seems okay but personally I'm not sure why the display is necessary.
I've been thinking about it for the TF, but only because I can't keep hold of money and need to spend it on anything I don't actually need.

Looks very similar to the kit I fitted to my van. Good bit of kit.

You could just install the dsiplay out of sight.. it beeps too.
That's what I would do.
Event though I love buying stuff for the car that I don't need. I don't think I'd buy this.. even if it's sooooooo cheap

I thought that was a neat fitting but ... couldn't understand the purpose of the display. Our Focus makes a nice beep which changes volume and speed and the big bad wall approaches.

Has anybody yet fitted the type that stick inside the rear bumber (no drilling and nothing visible from the outside) ? Wire into reversing lights and put the beeper through bulkhead and on to rear shelf.

Rear parking sensors

Thanks I did see that thread - but he's linked to a 60 kit rather than 17. I'm just trying to figure out what the 60 kit offers over the cheaper one

I do quite like the display mounted in the rear view mirror though, I like it in a Night Rider kinda way... I need more gadgets
