Parking Sensors

Ive jsut fitted parking sensors to the F (strange thing to do on car with only 3 wheels on and that wont start but ive done it ) only thing I have left to do is connect the power feed but I dont know which wire is reverse

So question is - Which colour wire in the rear cluster is Reverse and which one is earth ?

has no one else fitted sensors to an F / TF - is it just me that cant drive

They are fitted and working well on my TF - using a meter, I found which reversing light wire came live when the gear lever was put in reverse (with the ignition switched on, of course).

It was a bit more fun routing the wiring to the display from the boot to the base of the windscreen.

Not sure of the colours but if you have a test lamp put the car in reverse with ignition on and probe the multi plug on the rear lamp till it lights up, put back to neutral and check it goes out to confirm you have the right wire, as for an earth anywhere on the body is fine I usually use one of the rear lamp fixing bolts.

I can earth to the body was gonna use the earth from the light ,

Ill have a stab round with the meter with it in reverse

I have fitted them to my van, but for me, the TF has never been a problem reversing/parking even with the hood up.

I did a howto on them a few months back on a TF, as roverman says, it the green/brown wire.
