Project rear wing!...

Ok,

As per my other thread, I'll have a TF no matter what.
But, (imo) I do prefer the look with a rear wing fitted.

I kinda like the Trophy wing, but I believe that it's not an easy fit - the outer edges can touch the rear wings at the top.

So......

Was looking at this one on the bay - what do you guys think?
I may spray it black instead of body colour and maybe fit some black side decal stripes on the doors?

That's too tall for my taste - all a matter of personal opinion though.

The trophy rear spoilers have spaces on the underside of the outer edges (at least mine does), these allow it to flex and touch the outside edges of the boot lid, not the rear quarters. These allow it to move/flex without stressing the plastic or the paint. At 'rest' mine probably has 2-3 mm clearance.

Fitting is OK - just the usual measure twice, drill once routine.

Personally I would always buy genuine body kits or parts, far more chance of getting a better fit, plus you can ask for dimensions on forums like this to help fit it.

Thanks for the info,

I may look into the Trophy one again in that case.

I know they are not oem, but i think Moto-build do a Trophy rear spoiler with modified supports so they fit a TF properly.

I got this for my MGF, never got round to fitting it properly, threw it on my
old damaged boot lid and looked tidy, sway lines match the boot lid too.

Finally Fitted Trophy Spoiler to a TF today........

Good thread on fitting a Trophy to a TF. Personally, I'd stick with a spoiler that was supposed to be on an MG rather than go all 'gung-ho' with an obvious aftermarket addition. That's just me, but as close to original as possible is my motto......
