Stripes- yes or no?

I really like the stripes on the 85th anniversary TF, my car is nightfire red, so a grey stripe would suit my car, but....I don't want to look like a desperate teenager (I'm 28) trying to make my car into an ultimate chav machine?
Anyone here added stripes to their TF and what are people's thoughts?

I really had to think about possibly spoiling a pearl black car but most people love the red stripes - I now think stripes are epic.

Just wait for Lee's comments on this. For pictures of Lee fitting mine just look in my Garage.

Black or dark grey stripes on a red car would be brilliant - the negative of mine lol.

God, when I was 28 Maggie Thatcher was still prime minister and still had a few years to go.

I plan on getting stripes on mine with the help of Lee. I say go for it! I have blue LEDs on my car too and have always been more emo than chav! If it's what you want, forget what everyone else thinks!

A teenager? I sort of vaguely remember the concept

I knew straight away I wanted stripes but it took me nearly a year to decide exactly what style and colour. Finally came back around to my first instinct, graphite grey and then set about removing chrome and silver everywhere I found it. The exhaust is the only significant shiny bit left.

Don't give it a second thought now, it is part of who the car is now.

Stripes on an F or TF don't look out of place. Just make sure you get the proportion and nice contrasting colour.

My first F . . .

I would love to get 'Rosie' striped but I'm not sure what colour would suit 'Spectre'

Easy - single 85th in grey - same as your tonneau.

Lets rename this thread "Show off your stripes" !!

Each to their own I guess, but I took inspiration from a few I've seen on the forum and for me it was a 30cm silver stripe edged in red...

Have a look around the forum, and of course Google to get some ideas...

I was talking Bri Davis yesterday and he's thinking of Gulf colours - ie Orange stripes on his wedgwood blue TF - that would be incredible.

Haha, fear not, I'm going vintage style but in a dark grey/silver. More subtle than yours but equally as beautiful.

Phew - that was close - yeah - I think silver would be really nice - for a moment I thought you might be going for red then your dad could get black stripes to match.

I got silver side decals but thinking of replacing with graphite (more subtle) and graphite stripes. Gonna have a go at doing a Photoshop job on a pic..............
