Assuming you mean the high level brake light - they're R284 2.3w bulbs. Google is your friend

http://www.halfords.com/motoring/bul...w-car-bulb-x-1 individually or http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MGF-High-L...cAAOxy0x1TUSNy for a complete set and/or spares......

I recently tried replacing these bulbs and found the contacts in the light fitting temperamental and instead went for one of these LED alternatives. Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/291954235453

Pretty much, yep. Undo the two screws holding the light assembly to the boot lid. The whole unit will then become free to ease out. Disconnect the connector cable from the rear of the assembly. The light unit should then separate from the black plastic housing and then on the rear of the light unit there are a few screws to undo so that you can gain access to the unit (which is sealed with a rubber gasket to prevent water ingress) and be able to change the bulbs.

The bulbs themselves might need a little wiggle to get them out. Then just a case of replace and reassemble. Might also be worth cleaning the bulb contact points whilst you are at it.

Yes simple......remove the two screws that hold the light in,Then with draw it from the boot lid by pushing the wire thru the boot lid Unplug the light, you then need to remove the small screws from the back of the light be aware that there is a central screw that is hidden so you will need to cut out the plastic "plug"then remove the screw.

You then need to prise the red lens from the black cover you then have all the bulbs exposed which just pull out.

To replace is a reverse of this...

I got 7 free from my local scrappie. the 'donor' car had been rear ended and the light was in bits so I dunno if they work yet, I still have to get around to trying them and replace a few of mine that had gone.
