EKA Code

Had a major problem with the immobiliser on my 214i bubble. Bought the car with no keyfob and found out later that the alarm had been circumvented. Anyway, needed the EKA code to reset the immobiliser, called out the RAC to help, which was a waste of time (no code, cant help) but they did give me the number for MG & Rover Codes. Went to their website and put in my chassis number, paid the fee (£15) and within 20 mins I had the code. Really helpful and honest people.

Turns out I had mistyped my chassis number and been given the wrong code but after explaining this to the owner (Mr Lewis) still gave me a ful refund. top bloke.

So use this site as its great but make sure you enter the correct details.

Paul,

Thanks for the kind words, since speaking to you I have decided to call our customers who purchase EKA or Ignition codes to confirm the VIN number, we feel this would of saved your time and us money (lol).

We refunded you due to the fact that I was not available to check the details and this I felt was the right thing to do. Once we found you had made a little mistake, I think the £15.00 refund was still worth it for knowledge and now we have read this - your kind words!

Glad we have another happy customer (member of this forum)

Yes the problem was: the code was on screen and emailed to your email account, you use a free web based email service which has a terrible junk filter, if you check that you will see the code 15** waiting in there. Our live support and telephone line is open from 9am - 11pm if any problems arise.

Emergency Key Access Code, EKA, EKAC

i was told by my local rover dealer that once the eka code was used the imobiliser would reset and that it is only a temp till u get to a dealer.is this right??

The Emergency Key Access Code is only a temporary measure. Once a key fob is used it will re - activate the immobilizer. Best thing to do is get a new fob. If you need the EKA - Emergency Key Access code you can retrieve it online for £15.00 from MG-ROVER-RADIO-CODES.COM.

Rep added (again).

Sold a genuine Rover single CD unit to a guy by post for his 45.Knocked a bit off because it needed a code and gave you a mention as a reliable source of help.
Got a phone call when he received it asking about where and how to get the code, again pointed in your direction (before going down the refund/it doesn't work/yes it does conversation route via my cousin Jimmy gets codes off the net free and he says its the right code....)
Haven't heard from him again, another happy customer.

I have a Rover r660 installed in my 100 Knightsbridge. Having had to disconnect a flat battery, I now get CODE on the display.
I have the following information:
Serial No: RG349FT1025385
Security Code No: 7138
I have read online various methods of inputting the code. However nothing I do shifts the CODE message.
Is it possible to unfreeze it from this position or should I be resigned to binning it?

Thank you.

Please help

Can anyone help please, am at my wits ends, have purchased the code for my basic cd/radio (factory fitted) rover 75, from the local (was) Rover dealer, £30, but they could not (?!) help me input it. I do not have the radio booklet, but worked out how to input the numbers, using the pre-set buttons. However, once the four digits were entered, nothing happened, so I pressed other likely buttons to 'set' the code. No luck and now it tells me 'Wait'. I would be so grateful for any advice please :), I know I could just replace the radio, but do prefer to keep the original one. Thanks guys

have just bought a freelander and it only has one key and one fob. Worried i'm going to lose them and want a spare set, what can I do that's not going to cost the earth?

thanks
There is no cheap way unfortuantly, is your fob a Lucas 17TN? it will say it on the back of the fob.

To get a key cut you would need the key number which cost from us - £17.50.
